Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator – Up to £23,000 per annum – 37.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our busy but friendly payroll team at accomplish in Rubery, Birmingham. We are looking for someone who has at least 12 months end to end payroll experience. You will also need excellent customer service skills and great attention to detail.

Working full time 37.5 hours per week but longer hours may be needed at busy times. Our Payroll Team are responsible for monthly, weekly and 4-4-5 payrolls across 4 sectors of the company along with all payroll queries across the business. It is a really fast paced environment and one thing we can guarantee is that you will never be bored!

We have fun, celebrate everyone’s uniqueness and move mountains to ensure the people we support get the best out of life and we need an experienced Payroll Administrator to ensure our heroes are paid correctly and on time and to help resolve any queries when things go wrong in a calm and timely manner.

The main duties of the role are to:

  • Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
  • Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records via calls and email. These can be difficult calls and you will need to remain calm
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
  • Honour confidentiality of employees' pay records
  • Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review

We would welcome applications from people with the following skills and experience:

  • At least 12 months end to end payroll experience
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • Able to be flexible in their working hours
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and progress
  • Ability to be calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise with others
  • Motivated, a problem solver and determined
  • Track record of hitting deadlines and providing robust and accurate information
  • Competent with Excel and familiar with payroll software
  • A good team player
