IT Engineer - £19,000 per annum – 37.5 hours per week

Looking for an IT Engineer position with a company that does some amazing things! Then you need to join our small friendly team here at the accomplish Support centre in Rubery, Birmingham. The main focus of this role is to provide friendly and effective IT Support to our homes, support centre and executive teams so exceptional people skills alongside excellent general technical IT support experience is required.

At accomplish we provide specialist support for people with Autism, Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injuries. Our therapeutic, residential and supported living services support over 1,000 people across England and Wales.

The role would be suitable for a 1stline person looking to further develop their skills with in house mentoring and eventually move up to a second line support role

Please note due to the nature of the role a clean driving license and car are required as some travel will be required.

As an IT Engineer you will:

  • Upgrade / Configure Laptops / Desktops and IT user accounts for new starters
  • Install, configuration and support of all user hardware and software
  • Be experienced in Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016
  • Device encryption, OS and application patching, general software installation
  • Raise support tickets and update on progress
  • Provide IT support in person, via telephone and email for all IT queries from within the business
  • Escalate any incidents that have not resolved within set time scales to the IT manager

We are looking for an IT Engineer who:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good relationships
  • Keen interest in IT and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Able to install, configure, upgrade and relocate PC hardware, software and print devices
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to manage time effectively
  • Understanding of networking, Microsoft environments, Anti-Virus products and Firewalls
  • Attention to detail and a calm, methodical approach to work
  • Must have a “Can do” attitude
