HR Officer - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Salary up to £23,000 per annum depending on experience - Wyboston, Bedfordshire

Are you currently studying for a HR qualification or have a keen interest in developing a career within HR where you will support a business that does some amazing things?

At accomplish we specialise in outcome focused support for people with Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Acquired Brain Injuries - not just limited to the day to day we like to move mountains for the people we support and ensure they get the best out of life.

As a HR Officer, you will be responsible for managing short term absence, employee resignations and employee changes as well as supporting the HR Operations Manager and HR Advisors with delivery of a commercial, customer focused HR service. You will achieve this through ensuring accuracy of advice/support, meeting deadlines and ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are followed.

As a HR Officer, you will:

  • Manage day to day leavers processes linking in with HR Advisors when required
  • Support with preparation of HR letters as directed by HR Ops Manager
  • Act as a note taker in Employee Relation cases when required
  • Support managers with short term absence management, arranging absence meetings with employees and preparing outcome letters
  • Support HR Operations Manager with reports on leavers, exit interviews and ad hoc reports as directed
  • Process any maternity, paternity or adoption requests including writing to the employee, notifying payroll and updating internal HR systems
  • Ensure employees receive accurate and prompt HR support when requested
  • Ensure HR templates are in place and update HR Ops Manager with any suggestions for improvements

We are looking for a highly organised HR Officer that has:

  • Previous administration experience with a keen interest in developing a career within HR (essential)
  • A HR or is working toward an HR qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience as HR Intern or HR Administrator (desirable)
  • Experience of managing a high-volume workload
  • Effective communication,  experience of report writing and holding effective conversations
  • A good understanding of IT software specifically Microsoft office applications
  • Good time management and organisational skills as well as ability to think on own initiative
  • High level of integrity with a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality
