Deputy Care Home Manager - £13.95 per hour – 37.5 hours per week - in Forhill, Birmingham

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support our Registered Manager at Maple Leaf Lodge in Forhill, Birmingham.  Maple Leaf Lodge is experienced in supporting up to 13 male only adults with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. We also offer support for people at risk of committing a criminal offence.

We understand the importance of providing person-centred support which enables independence and meets individual’s specific needs. Through our outcomes focused approach, we support people to maintain choice and control of their own lives, our staff are our heroes and they need a leader!

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who has:

  • Broad experience of managing people, service and quality
  • Experience of supporting people with Behaviours of Concern within a semi secure challenging behaviour unit 
  • Must have NVQ / QCF in Health and Social Care Level 3 and be willing to work towards level 5
  • A high level of personal integrity towards providing a high standard of service
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good awareness of CQC legislation, updates, changes and best practice
  • A good understanding of commercial principles and practices
